With his first EP released in 2018, Miel de Montagne (Mountain honey in French) rooted his vibe in the French musical landscape.

His pop and electronic productions are mixed with simple and sincere lyrics about his everyday life at the countryside where he lives quietly with his parents. With him, every moment of life can turn into a song: the sadness of seeing the dog of his childhood get old into a slow for his dog (“Slow pour mon chien”), his desire for freedom into a summer hit for those who want to live naked (Why not/”Pourquoi Pas”),  or the joy of getting his driver’s license (“Permis B Bébé” means “Driver’s license baby »).

This endearing yound man full of good ideas is halfway between the serious pop of Flavien Berger or Muddy Monk and the musical eccentricities of Jacques and Salut c’est Cool with whom he hangs out within his records label Pain Surprises. For his first album, Miel de Montagne went further in his self analysis: a 24 year-old-man who get lost sometimes, with the hope of a ray of sunshine in the voice.

Sharing universal emotions with lyrics of a disarming sincerity. The result is not simple, it’s honest. And honesty is everyday harder to express for this new generation.
