arøne

Independent, a jack-of-all-trades and full of freshness, arøne is the image of a generation that fully reveals itself in everything it undertakes.

“Music is the only thing I do without forcing myself,” she says quickly as she tells her story. Born in Brittany and brought up in a loving family, music came into her life as a matter of course. When she was just 6, a musician gave her a synthesiser in the family home by the sea and taught her to play a few notes. It was decided that this was the life little Enora wanted to lead.

arøne is part of what is known as “the next generation”, a generation of artists who have grown up listening to (mostly) rap, pop and electro, and who apply this musical eclecticism to their work, regardless of genre.

Whatever the container, the important thing for arøne is that his music tugs at the heartstrings of everyone. And to reach the hearts of her listeners, the young artist opens up without concession: “I always start from a sincere and real base, I don’t make music if I have nothing to share. Touched by human relationships – those that fade rather than those that last – she expresses her melancholy and resentments through writing, to embellish and better overcome her sorrows. “I write things that make me sad, but in turn I make them happy,” she says.

These days, she likes to mix lyrics that are often dark and full of generational spleen with productions that are, in contrast, very danceable and heady. Today sees the release of arøne’s new single “Garder le Sourire”, which also heralds her new summer project, due out in the coming weeks.
