DJ Falcon (real name Stéphane Quême) is a key figure in the French electronic music scene. His musical journey began in the mid-1990s in Paris, where he organized parties at the legendary Bains Douches club with his childhood friend Pedro Winter, aka Busy P. They featured emerging artists such as Dimitri from Paris, Philippe Zdar, Yvan Smagghe, and Trankilou — laying the foundations for what would later be known as the French Touch.
He soon formed a close friendship with Thomas Bangalter, who released Falcon’s debut EP Hello My Name is DJ Falcon on his Roulé label. In the early 2000s, the two teamed up to form the duo Together, releasing the now iconic singles Together and So Much Love To Give.
The Falcon-Bangalter collaboration continued in 2007 with Daft Punk’s Alive world tour, for which DJ Falcon contributed DJ sets and official tour photography. In 2014, their creative partnership reached new heights when Falcon received a Grammy Award for co-producing Contact, the closing track on Daft Punk’s final album Random Access Memories.
Over the years, DJ Falcon has performed around the globe — from Ibiza to Tokyo and across the US — sharing the stage with legendary acts like The Chemical Brothers, as well as Justice, Cassius, and Alex Gopher. A true architect of the genre, he’s played international festivals and iconic venues including Portola and M3F (USA), Golden Plains and WOMAdelaide (Australia), and Drumsheds, Printworks, and Paléo Festival (Europe).
More recently, Falcon joined forces with his cousin Alan Braxe to launch Braxe + Falcon, releasing their critically acclaimed debut EP Step by Step in 2022.
In 2024, he reunited with Etienne de Crécy and Boombass (of Cassius) for a special back-to-back-to-back performance celebrating 25 years of the French Touch. This explosive trio lit up the stages of We Love Green, CRSSD San Diego, and Beauregard Festival. The highlight of this anniversary year? A standout performance at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games at Stade de France.
2025 will see the return of Braxe + Falcon, with exciting new releases on the horizon!
