Upsilone, always wearing his white glasses, presents us with a very serious project. Make no mistake, like Philippe Katerine, Vladimir Cauchemar and even Martin Solveig in his early days, Upsilone has ideas, expertise and a great deal of self-deprecating humour.
It was only natural that, at the age of 12, he began learning the piano and was already interested in electronic music and French DJs and producers such as Daft Punk, Bob Sinclar and Martin Solveig, who would influence and inspire him to develop his musical project.
He is part of Generation Z, which does everything on its own: lyrics, melodies, production, videos… This is the new self-taught generation, well connected to its time, its codes and its formats.
Some discovered him through his ‘How to make a hit’ tutorials, which are a hit on Instagram, where he explains the creation of certain hits by pointing out the samples used. Others discovered him through his remixes of David Guetta’s ‘Like I Do,’ Vladimir Cauchemar’s ‘Brrr,’ and his own track ‘Bodies Movin,’ with its disco-funk sounds tinged with modernity.
His unique style blends 80s melodies with more contemporary electro/pop sounds influenced by Justice and Breakbot.
Upsilone has already collaborated with numerous artists, including David Guetta, Sebastian, Martin Solveig, and Kungs. French Touch 2.0 has often sought its successor, and with Upsilone, it can be very hopeful…
